The Gokyo trek is one of the exceptional and generally popular adventurous trekking of Nepal. This is the most beautiful and lifetime adventure trek of Nepal. Gokyo valley trekking offers a unique experience with exciting views of the world highest,most beautiful mountains,very beautiful glacier lakes and world second largest Ngozumpa glacier. The ultimate challenge of the Gokyo valley treks offer breathtaking mountain panorama. The trekking is possible in this area,all year around, but the best times to visit are from the beginning of March to end May and from the beginning of September to end December. The trek begins with 30 minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. This trails Takes you through the lush Dudkosi valleys. Which are rich in flora and fauna, the Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries it leads you up to legendary Sherpa village Namche bazaar, the foot of Everest classical route. It offers close up view of Everest and other peaks such as Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse and Nuptse. after spending two nights at Namche. Extra day for Namche Bazaar exploring and acclimatizing. We follow the trail to Dole, Machheremo, Luza and finally we get to Gokyo our final destination. Beyond this we climb up to Gokyo RI in the morning for sunrise on the Himalaya. Two and half hour walk. Scenery from the ridge above Gokyo peak is amazing, four 8000m peak are visible from the Gokyo peak including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and the beautiful turquoise Gokyo lakes and many smaller mountain. You can get more of the Everest itself better then Kalapattar. The view of tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyangchung kang (7925m) is one of the spectacular panoramas in Khumbu. You can include the Everest base camp trek with this trip going over the Chola pass.Then to Everest base camp.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1380m). Our airport representative will meet you and transfer to hotel

Day 02 Kathmandu sightseeing (Pasupatinath, Buddhanath, monkey temple and Kathmandu durbar square)

Day 03 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding 2620m

Day 04 trek to Namche (3445m)

Day 05 Namche Bazar acclimatization day + walk to Khunde, khumjung and Everest view hotel back to Namche.

Day 06 Trek to Dole (4150m)

Day 07 Trek to Machhermo (4470m)

Day 08 Trek to Gokyo (4790m)

Day 09 Trek to Fifth lake and back to Gokyo village (5350m)

Day 10 Early morning climb up to Gokyo Ri back down to village then trek down to Machhermo.

Day 13 Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu transfer to hotel

Day 01 Arrival to Kathmandu airport (1380m)
There you will be our airport representative transfer to hotel by private car or Micro bus.

Day 02 sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Your sightseeing trip starts from the hotel after breakfast around 8:30 am. We will provide private vehicle with professional tour guide.  You will start your sightseeing tour from largest Hindu temple Pasupatinath, Buddhanath, and Monkey temple and at the end you will be taking down to Kathmandu durbar squire. Then drive back to hotel prepare for the trek short briefing about the trek.

Day 03 Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2630m)
We will take you to domestic airport terminal early morning. Then 30 minute flight to Lukla. Our guide will introduce porter. After that we stop for the breakfast. Then finally we start our first day walk fairly easy 3 hour walk through the Dudhkosi valley. After 3 hour of walk, we arrive river bank beautiful village Phakding. Over night at hotel

Day 04 Trek to Namche (3445m)
We start our second day of walk follow the Valley of Dudhkosi River. We cross the Dudhkosi River five times on the exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags on way to Namche. After we cross the last bridge then steep climb up to Namche, trail up to the Jorsale gradual climb. Its 2 and half our climb up to Namche on the way to Namche there is two Everest view point. View of Mt Everest amazing on the clear day. At Jorsale we enter to Sagarmatha national park we need to verify our permits. After 5 or 6 hour of hard walking we reach main trading centre Namche bazaar.

Day 05 Acclimatization day at Namche
Acclimatization is important before proceeding higher. You will be taken through the villages of Khunde and khumjung back to Namche through fancy Japanese Everest view hotel. At Khunde there First Himalayan trusts hospital. Khumjung there is mesmerizing Yeti head on the monastery. There is world highest bakery. You can get the excellent panoramic view of Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse shar, Ama Dablam many more be soaring peak. This is fairly easy, nice and best day. This is about four hour trip.

Day 06 Trek to Dole (4150m)
Trail from Namche its climb for 10 minute the easy level path for about hour and half. Then it will start to climb up to Mongla. There are chances of seeing some yaks, wild animals and birds. There is magnificent view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Cholaste and Tawachee from Top. Trail decent bit the goes through the pine and rhododendron. Its get finally get to Sherpa settlement Dole.

Day 07 Trek to Machhermo (4470m)
Today is easy 3 hour walk to Machhermo. The trail climbs the ridge through yak pasture land. On the way to Machhermo you will have excellent view of down the valley Mt Kantega and up toward Cho Oyu and other towering peak. We will reach Machhermo early afternoon for lunch and we spend the night there.

Day 08 Trek to Gokyo (4785m)
Today is our final destination Gokyo. Trail lead through the yaks pasture lands again it will meet the river bank. We have two beautiful blue lakes before we reach the Gokyo. Gokyo village is by the huge lake. We will stay here in Gokyo for two nights.

Day 09 Trek to fifth lake back to village (5200m)
Today we will take you to fifth lake after the breakfast around 8:00 am. Walking through the moraine on the side of the Ngozumpa glacier, from where you can get excellent view of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Pumori, Gyangchung kang. Its all together about 5 hour round trip.

Day 10 early morning climbs up to Gokyo Ri (5465m) and trek down to Machhermo (4470m)
Early morning we have steep climb up to Gokyo Ri. This is our highest point of the trek. There is stunning view of Gokyo valley the massive Ngozumpa glacier and incredible panoramic view of whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-oyu and Gyangchung kang and many smaller mountains. After the viewing all those peaks we go down to village the get breakfast we will trek down to Machhermo.

Day 11 trek to Namche
We flow the same route back down to Namche bazaar through Dole and Mongla.

Day 12 Trek back to Lukla
We are on the same way down to Lukla as we climbed up on the way to Gokyo. But its downhill To Lukla. Today we finished out trek. Farewell dinner in Lukla with all the trekking staff and clients together. Next morning fly to Kathmandu.

Day 13 Fly to Kathmandu
Its 30 minute scenic flight to Kathmandu. Once we landed then there will pickup from airport to hotel. All afternoon frees up and shopping. Farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 14 Final departure
We will take you by car or micro bus to airport and final departure to home.
